I grew up in a household that was health conscious from the start. Home cooked meals was a common practice growing up. I grew up knowing that what I ate affected how I felt both physically and emotionally. I saw the importance diet had on health and disease prevention and decided to pursue my passion in becoming a registered dietitian.
I understand the struggles and frustrations you have especially when there is an abundance of information available online and through unqualified sources and individuals. I have gone through the requirements and training set forth by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to ensure that what you receive has been proven by science. I can teach you to live a stress free diet journey and fall in love with food without the guilt. My methods have been successful with clients of all ages. During these years I have also found passion to help the pediatric population and have done a wide range of nutrition education and support in the past 6 years. Within the past 3 years, I have also opened up my practice to include adults and elderly, as I see a need for nutritional support within the family. From infants to kids and teenagers, adults to elderly, there is always time to focus on your health and eating behaviors.
I follow a no diet approach to healthy eating. What that means is a counsel on the importance of a balanced diet with no restrictions (unless medically necessary). With my guidance, I believe that you and only you can choose what and how to eat. No one else can know when you're hungry and when you're full, the signal lies within you, however hidden and quiet it may be. I will help you hear it louder and clearer. I believe in the enjoyment of food and learning to remove negative thoughts that come with certain types of food and replacing it with mindful statements of nourishment. I am committed to making you and your family members lead nourishing lives.
So now I ask you, are you ready to lead a nourishing life for yourself and your loved ones?
